[h2]Il Contesto[/h2] The Municipality of Latronico is a member of the Associazione Comuni Virtuosi (Association of Virtuous Municipalities), an Italian network of local authorities founded in 2005 with the aim of promoting a harmonious and sustainable management of territories. Joining this network testifies to the local administration's commitment to spreading new awareness and sustainability-oriented lifestyles among citizens, fostering greater environmental and social responsibility. Waste management represents a collective commitment toward a healthier and more sustainable environment, an awareness that the Municipality of Latronico has embraced through the adoption of numerous virtuous practices. These include incentivizing waste sorting, promoting home composting, and creating spaces dedicated to the reuse and recycling of materials, thereby helping to reduce environmental impact and improve the quality of life for citizens. [pic]magazine/article85/1.jpg[/pic] [h2]Il Progetto[/h2] Otix supported the public body in its communication efforts, actively collaborating with the municipal administration and providing its expertise in managing institutional projects. Through the creation of clear and effective information tools capable of reaching and raising awareness among citizens on matters of environmental and social relevance, Otix oversaw every phase of the creation of the general guide for sorted waste collection for the Municipality of Latronico. [pic]magazine/article85/2.png[/pic] [h2]La guida[/h2] From content ideation to layout and material selection, Otix worked to guarantee a product consistent with the Municipality's sustainability goals. The guide, printed entirely on recycled paper, reflects the joint commitment to reducing the publication's environmental impact and conveying a clear message about the need for more responsible consumption. Particular attention was also dedicated to the visual aspect: the choice of green as the dominant color immediately evokes the concept of sustainability and recalls the importance of environmental protection. The graphics, designed to be essential and intuitive, were conceived to lighten the message and make it clearer and more accessible: the use of illustrations helps citizens visually understand good practices for sorting waste, simplifying communication and making the document usable for all age groups. The guide does not just list the rules for proper waste separation, but delves into key aspects such as waste reduction, creative reuse, and the opportunities offered by recycling. Special focus was given to the life cycle of materials, highlighting CONAI directives and the concrete effects of responsible waste management, in line with the environmental policies promoted by the Municipality of Latronico. To make sorted waste collection even more accessible, the guide includes an eco-glossary that helps citizens correctly dispose of every type of waste, as well as a reference to the Junker app, which is useful for obtaining real-time information on materials to be sorted. This project does not simply provide instructions, but intends to strengthen the culture of sustainability, giving citizens concrete tools to make a difference every day.
